Eliz

type design

Eliz is a self-made typeface. Inspired by classics like Baskerville, the new font offers clear but unobtrusive display properties. It is intended to appear dynamic and feminine, without losing steadfastness or becoming illegible. Eliz is created for everyday use in print and digital. The font contains all upper and lower case letters of the German language – including ä, ö, ü, and ß. Furthermore ligatures, and basic punctuation.

Under the advice of type designer and graphic designer Jakob Runge, I developed Eliz in one semester. It was realized with Glyphs2 and is also a part of All Types Matter.
